'HOW TO...'//PROGRESS CRIT FEEDBACK//OUGD405

We had the crit on friday where we took are design sheets and ideas, as a group, to Amber and Jo to discuss our progress so far and get some feedback to push us in the right direction:
We pitched various ideas that sort of all tied into one, we weren't quite sure exactly which idea we wanted to go with but after the crit it became clearer what aspects of the research we'd done needed to be focused on in more detail:  the general idea we pitched was a mail shot info-graphic giving tips and guidance on how to save time and money through the christmas period, we discussed audience, purpose and general direction:
points made-
+the topic was too broad, we needed to focus more on what our actual 'how to' was
+the audience was correct
+the purpose of the actual mail shot was a little contradicting, we were trying to come up with so many ideas to save money that it was wasting time, and we'd come to a decision that saving time was more important than saving money on Christmas day
+ They thought it would be more effective if we tried to work on one aspect of Christmas food rather than trying to give advice throughout the whole holiday on the food.
+visually we don't know much about what the final design will look like, colour scheme etc.
+how would we distribute them?
RESEARCH AND PLAN FOR NEXT WEEK:
-look up how to save time during christmas
-possible idea of people sharing the jobs of christmas cooking?
-research tips/ make the subject more light hearted, christmas is stressful but is a light hearted happy time
decide the content
-come up with design ideas
