I went to the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertisements in Notting Hill to broaden my primary research. It helped massively as it showed the history of consumer products through time, dedicating a section to each decade, showing brands evolving through creative use of packaging and advertising. I managed to take some photos to help with my research:
Interesting to see the variety of different packaging throughout this interesting period. It was surprising how many brands are still going, and the change and development of the brand and its packaging.
