WHAT IS GOOD?//CONCEPT WORKSHOP//GROUP WORK//OUGD505

CONCEPT WORKSHOP//GROUP TASK
In todays workshop we were given a group task to come up with a concept for a bar.  We were given three words to choose from where we would then create the concept based on the word and other ideas.

The three words we were given:

  • Test
  • Window
  • Net

We decided to go with TEST:
Definition of test

WE THEN CAME UP WITH THIS CONCEPT:

NAME: LAB
LOCATION: SOHO
AUDIENCE: 21-35 (M/F)
TYPE OF BAR: Experimental drinks, test tube shots, wacky cocktails, unusual beer and wine selection

USP: Science lab style bar, serving original/unique cocktails (in the experimentation phase) cocktails created in a lab.  Mixoligists  dressed in lab coats and goggles, using bunsen burners and other equipment to create a cocktail.

Inspiration reference: Heston// Willy Wonka// Harry Potter potions class //Dexters lab// Alice in wonderland
Interior and Decor:  Science lab bar supplies/medicine cabinet behind for all ingredients /drinks
Seating arrangements: molecular structure, honeycomb pattern, each person sitting down will create bond.

INTERIOR / DECOR : Science lab bar: supplies medicine cabinet for all ingredients/drinks. Seating arrangement - molecular structure, honeycomb pattern, each person sitting down will create 'bond's formed by a strip of lighting between each seat. Hexagonal tables. People in the bar create their own unique molecular structure. Lighting atom lamps, bunsen burners, primary colours based
BRANDING & PRODUCTS Drinks menu formula cocktails (ingredients) constructed from our own version of the periodic table. Chemical symbols and strength (alcoholic).
