WHAT IS GOOD?//PARIS:THREE CONCEPTS//OUGD505

THREE CONCEPTS FOR PARIS:

CONCEPT ONE:
DISCOVERING PARIS//TRAVEL GUIDE
Paris is the capital of France and the countries largest city, it is today considered one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.  Look into Parisian culture and certain elements of Paris to create a body of work that boasts the cities best assets.  This will work as a travel guide pack including a publication about non-tourist things to do in Paris, an updated zine about the latest things to explore in the city, postcards, Itinerary book and an app design.  This brings all the research together to create a body of work centred around travelling Paris.

CONCEPT TWO:
THE PARISIAN EXPERIENCE//PARIS HOTEL REBRAND
Create and brand a hotel.  Based on all my Paris research (cuisine, tourist/non-tourist attractions, land marks, language, Parisian culture) my concept is to create, design and brand a hotel based on travelling around Paris.  The hotel is designed in a way where the branding coincides with Parisian culture.  A real feel for the Parisian lifestyle.  The branding will be designed in a simple way that informs the customers about a brief history of Paris and suggests where to go and what to do whilst travelling in Paris, in an unconventional tourist manner.  Branding would include, menu, drinks menu, do not disturb sign, letter head, luggage tags etc.

CONCEPT THREE:
RESTAURANT BRANDING//CUISINE PUBLICATION
Based on the photography and imagery of Parisian/French cuisine and the research I had done on it my concept is to create a guide to the nicest places to dine in Paris.  This could also coincide with a Parisian restaurant re-brand.  The publication would give tourists and food lovers the chance to learn and experience the true French cuisine by creating a classic, traditional french menu and publication about the history and tradition of French cuisine and etiquette.  The restaurant rebrand could include a drinks and food menu, napkins, coasters, receipt etc.
